A sziget “fővárosa”.
Óriási kőváros erős olasz beütéssel. Ha Hvaron csak egy várost szeretne valaki megnézni, akkor ezt nem szabad kihagyni! Hvar város Vrboskától 22 km-re a sziget déli oldalán fekszik. A várból gyönyörű panoráma nyílik a Pokol-szigetekre. Érdemes estefelé sétát tenni a város sikátoros utcáin, a parton a jachtok előtt, vagy egy felfelé kígyózó szerpentinen a várhoz. Hangulatos éttermek, fagyizók, bazár sorok várják az odalátogatót.A pokol szigetek, strandolásra is kiváló hely, stílusában még eldugottabb és vadregényesebb, mint a Hvar-szigeti strandok. Össze lehet kötni a városnézéssel is, amikor este visszahoz a taxi hajó, akkor megpihenve egy vacsora és aztán jöhet egy kis felfedezés, nézelődés a városban. Azért érdemes vagy reggel vagy este megnézni a várost, mert napközben nagyon felmelegszik.
The “capital” of the island.
A magnificent stone-built town with a strong Italian influence. If you only have time to visit one town on Hvar, this is the one you shouldn’t miss! Hvar Town lies 22 km from Vrboska, on the southern side of the island. The fortress offers beautiful panoramic views of the Pakleni Islands. In the evening, it’s well worth taking a stroll through the town’s narrow streets, along the waterfront among the yachts, or following the winding road up to the fortress. Charming restaurants, ice cream shops and rows of small market stalls await visitors.The Pakleni Islands are also an excellent destination for swimming and relaxing, with a more secluded and wild atmosphere than many of the beaches on Hvar itself. A visit can easily be combined with a trip to Hvar Town: after returning by taxi boat in the evening, you can enjoy a relaxing dinner before exploring the town and taking in its sights. It’s best to visit the town either in the morning or in the evening, as it can get very hot during the day.
